Commissioners make quick work of light agenda
ALBANY — Linn County Commissioners Roger Nyquist, Sherrie Sprenger and Will Tucker made quick work of a brief agenda Tuesday morning.
The commissioners:
- Approved closure of Main Street in Brownsville for the annual Linn County Pioneer Picnic parades June 20-21.
- Approved a property line adjustment on Country Lane near Sweet Home. Linn County will deed .04 acre to the Joel and Gwendolyn Beer Revocable Trust.
- Signed an application by the Albany Rifle & Pistol Club for a Level 3 Outdoor Assembly Permit to hold the Saddle Butte Rendezvous August 2-3. The Board approved an application for the event on April 22.
- Approved a letter of support for Alyrica Network’s broadband deployment project in the Greater Albany, Central Linn and Harrisburg school districts. Alyrica has applied for funding through the federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program. Commissioner Nyquist abstained from voting because he serves on the Greater Albany Public Schools Board of Education.
- Approved a reimbursement rate of $3 per hour for the 19th First-Time Youth Wage Grant Program to run from May through September 2025.
- Appointed LeAnne Trask to Position 6 of the Linn County Health Advisory Council.
- Appointed Cindi Robeck to the Transportation Advisory Committee.
