The mission of the Linn County District Attorney’s Victim Assistance Program is to protect the rights of victims while navigating the criminal justice process and provide a platform for the victim to be heard. We work to assist in any way possible by providing community referrals, explaining the criminal justice process, attending court appearances with the victim, and by being a consistent point of contact within the District Attorney’s Office.

Many of the services we offer victims start with an application or form. Please visit this page for more information about how to get started or how to find the form you are looking for. Thank you. Your cooperation with these documents enable us to seek grants and justify other funding sources so we can continue to offer these services and more!
If you feel threatened by someone there are a number of remedies that may be available to you. Each type of order is unique and in some instances confusing, so we strongly recommend that you seek legal advice from an attorney. Community resources for things like emergency housing and advice may be a resource. We've prepared a limited list of these resources for you as well.
We've put together a list of resources available to crime victims. Some are specialized to unique circumstances and others are not, so please look closely.
