Like many, COVID-19 has altered the way that we do our jobs here at the Linn County District Attorney’s Office. Nevertheless, please rest assured that the Linn County District Attorney’s Office is still working hard to ensure public safety remains a priority for our citizens. We stand ready to enforce the law and seek justice for crime victims and the people of Linn County.
Some of our staff are working remotely in efforts assist with social distancing measures. However, there will always be adequate staff remaining at the office to assist crime victims and for our attorneys to make all required court appearances.
In a proactive effort to minimize the possible spread of COVID-19, the Linn County District Attorney’s Office is making ample use of email, video conferencing, and telephonic communication whenever possible. Court-based operations (e.g. court hearings, grand jury, trials) are subject to Constitutional and Statutory mandates, and are primarily managed by the State Courts. Accordingly, the Linn County District Attorney’s Office will continue to operate within the parameters set forth by the Oregon Supreme Court and the State Trial Court Administrators Office.
